Shinichiro Imai, Director of Jiaikai Medical Corporation, has been appointed M. and T. Tanaka Family Distinguished Professor in Aging Research at the University of Washington. Distinguished Professor is the highest title at an American university. This is the first time in the University of Washington’s more than 150-year history that the title has been bestowed on a Japanese family member.
