Awakening Your Own Immunity — A New Option in the Fight Against Cancer
In cancer treatment, standard therapies such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation play vital roles. However, there are cases where these alone are not sufficient, and some patients experience a decline in quality of life due to side effects.
Immune Cell BAK Therapy extracts a patient’s own immune cells, activates and expands them outside the body, and reinfuses them to enhance immune strength. In other words, it is an advanced immunotherapy designed to “empower your body’s natural defense system to fight cancer,” characterized by its ability to draw out each patient’s innate healing potential.
When a patient’s physical strength is significantly reduced, surgical therapy may not be viable. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy, though effective, carry side effects and sometimes lack long-term precision. Immunotherapy, which requires no surgery and uses the patient’s own immune cells, offers minimal side effects and is now recognized as the “fourth pillar” of cancer treatment.
At our clinic, we provide this therapy as an option to complement standard treatments—helping patients live healthier, more fulfilling lives while continuing to face cancer with resilience.

Benefits of Immune Cell BAK Therapy
-
Fewer Side Effects by Using the Patient’s Own Cells
Since the therapy utilizes the patient’s own immune cells, which are collected, activated, and reinfused, the risks of rejection or severe side effects are very low. It is a safe treatment that can be continued while maintaining daily life.
Targeted Attack with Activated Immune Cells
Proliferated immune cells must be in an “activated” state to effectively attack cancer. Activated immune cells can accurately recognize and target cancer cells, minimizing damage to healthy tissue and allowing treatment to proceed efficiently.
Prevention of Recurrence and Metastasis
This therapy may help reduce the risk of cancer recurrence and suppress residual cancer cells that may remain dormant in the body after treatment.
Can Be Combined with Other Therapies
It can be combined with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy to enhance overall treatment efficacy. The procedure takes about one hour by outpatient infusion, and no hospitalization is required.
Risks and Side Effects
Because immune cell therapy utilizes the body’s own immune system, it is characterized by a very low incidence of serious side effects. In some patients, a fever of around 38°C may occur on the day of administration; this is considered to be due to immune activation, and in most cases, body temperature returns to normal by the following day.
Treatment Process
-
STEP0Infection Screening
To ensure safety, an infection test is conducted first. If the results do not meet the required criteria, treatment may be postponed, or infection management will be prioritized to minimize risks before starting immunotherapy.
-
STEP1Blood Collection
(Immune Cell Harvesting)A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm to collect lymphocytes. The volume is only a few dozen milliliters, similar to a standard blood draw, and poses minimal burden.
-
STEP2Culturing and Activation of Immune Cells
The collected lymphocytes are cultured and activated in a specialized facility. They are multiplied several hundred to several thousand times to enhance their ability to attack cancer cells. This process takes approximately 2–3 weeks.
-
STEP3Intravenous Administration of Immune Cells
The cultured immune cells are infused back into the body through an IV drip, which takes about one hour per session.
Multiple infusions every few weeks can further enhance therapeutic effects.
