In cancer treatment, what matters most is choosing the therapy best suited to you.
Cancer develops when genetic mutations occur within cells.
Through Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP), we extract DNA from tumor tissue or blood and analyze hundreds of cancer-related genes simultaneously. This enables us to understand each patient’s unique cancer characteristics and design a treatment plan tailored specifically to them.
This test provides critical insights, such as:
- Which genetic mutations are involved
- Whether there are effective therapies available (e.g., targeted drugs or immune checkpoint inhibitors)
- Whether the patient is eligible for ongoing clinical trials
While Japan’s national insurance covers CGP only once per patient, multiple evaluations over time are often needed to assess tumor heterogeneity or detect resistance mutations as the cancer evolves.
At Tokyo Ginza Wellness & Aging Clinic, we offer advanced CGP options beyond the limits of standard insurance, helping patients identify the most effective and personalized treatment strategies available.

Benefits of Undergoing the Test
-
Expanding Your Personalized Cancer Treatment Options
You can scientifically assess which treatments are more likely to be effective and which may not be suitable for you.
Higher Accuracy Than Conventional Tests
Cancer progression and treatment response can be evaluated more precisely than with tumor markers or imaging studies alone.
Useful for Second Opinions
Because the test results provide objective evidence for treatment decisions, they are also valuable when seeking a second opinion at another medical institution.
Access to the Latest Treatments and Clinical Trials
Based on identified genetic alterations, patients may be guided to information on new therapies and clinical trials available both in Japan and internationally.
Available Panel Tests and Fees at Our Clinic
*All tests are offered as self-pay services and are not covered by health insurance.
Note: The displayed rates apply to members residing in Japan who hold a health insurance card (My Number Card).
Those without these documents will be charged the non-member rate.

Test Fee
First test 836,550Yen Subsequent tests 707,850Yen Guardant360 is a blood-based cancer genome panel test for patients with advanced cancer.
This test analyzes 739 cancer-related genes using a blood sample alone, without the need for tumor tissue.
As a self-pay medical service, Guardant360 typically provides results in approximately three weeks, and in some cases helps identify anticancer drugs that may be suitable based on the test findings.
Cancer genome panel testing is an important examination for identifying the treatment options best suited to each individual.
It is particularly recommended for patients who feel uncertain about their current treatment or who are considering a second opinion.
If you wish to undergo this test, please inform us during your counseling appointment.
